Dr. Dre has responded to his estranged wife Nicole Young's divorce filing, revealing the couple has a prenuptial agreement and this could prevent her from getting half of his $800million fortune.

Last month, Young, 50, filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences and seeking spousal support and division of their property, which is worth around $60million. But she failed to mention that they have a prenuptial agreement in her filing.

According to TMZ, the Hip-pop mogul, 55, filed his response in court on Wednesday, July 29, agreeing to pay spousal support, but said the division of assets should be determined by their prenuptial agreement. His paperwork also noted the date of separation as March 27, shortly after the coronavirus lockdown

Dre is being represented by famous celebrity divorce lawyer, Laura Wasser, who filed on his behalf.  While Young, who is a lawyer herself, is being represented by celebrity attorney, Samantha Spector.

The rapper, who is said to be worth an estimated $800million married Nicole on May 25, 1996.  The pair share two children together, daughter Truly Young, 19, and son Truice Young, 23.
