Wales and Real Madrid winger, Gareth Bale could be allowed to leave Real Madrid for free this summer after the club rejected a mammoth bid for him last summer, according to former Los Blancos president Ramon Calderon. According to Calderon, a bid of £89million was made for the Wales international by an English club but turned down by Real Madrid. Bale made only 20 appearances last season as tensions between him and coach Zinedine Zidane grew. He refused to be included in Real Madrid’s squad for last month’s Champions League final tournament with the knowledge he would have traveled to be nothing more than a non-playing substitute. Bale, who has two years left on his mouth-watering deal was non-challans last season as he was photographed pretending to sleep and using binoculars during matches. Meghan Markle issuing a picture agency over paparazzi photos of her walking her dogs with her son Archie.  The Duchess of Sussex claims her privacy was breached when the snaps were taken in Vancouver in January and has launched legal action against Splash News.  The High Court in London heard on Thursday afternoon, September 3, that Meghan claims her and her son's privacy was invaded during the incident and that data protection laws were broken when the photos were sold to British newspapers. Barrister Jonathan Barnes, representing Meghan and her son, told the hearing she denies suggestions that she agreed to the pictures being taken or "acquiesced" when she saw Splash photographer Steve Dennett. "They were papped in this location," he told the court. FG relaxes nationwide curfew. Now 12 midnight to 4am; okays reopening of schools and NYSC camps

The Federal Government says the nationwide curfew will now be from 12am to 4am. The curfew was put in place in May as part of measures to contain the spread of Coronavirus in the country.  The Federal Government imposed a nationwide curfew on May 4, 2020, from 6pm to 8am. It later reviewed it from 10pm-4am on June 1. The National Coordinator of the Presidential Taskforce on COVID-19, Dr. Sani Aliyu, announced the adjustment of the curfew time at the briefing of the taskforce which held at the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport, Abuja, today, Thursday, September 3. “I will first of all start with general movement. We are modifying the curfew to commence from 12 midnight to 4am nationwide, effective from 12:00 tonight. Lagos state govt dismantle illegal abattoirs; seize cow and butchered meat (photos)

The Lagos state government has begun a clampdown on illegal abattoirs in the state. Earlier today September 3, men of the re-inaugurated Monitoring, Enforcement, and Compliance Team dislodged an illegal slaughter slab at Oke Rube, Ikotun, Alimosho Local government in furtherance of the sanitization of the red meat value chain. The monitoring team seized a cow and butchered meat from the illegal slab and also arrested the operators of the illegal slab. Speaking on the exercise, the state acting Commissioner for Agriculture,  Abisola Olusanya, “The dismantling of the abattoir is necessary because the state is concerned about the production of wholesome and healthy meat for the citizens as well as ensure that the streets are free of stray animals, which has lately become more rampant in the state. As Nigeria plans for the resumption of international flights on Saturday, September 5, September 5, the Federal Government has barred some airlines from operating in Nigeria. Speaking at the briefing of the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 on Thursday, September 3, the Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika, said the international airlines denied flying approval include Air France, KLM, Etihad, Rwandair, Lufthansa, TAAG Angola Airlines, and others. According to Sirika, the airlines that have been given licence to operate include Middle-East, British Airways, Delta Airlines, Qatar Airways, Ethiopian Airlines, Egyptair, Air Peace, Virgin Atlantic, Asky, Africa World Airways (AWA), Air Cote-d’Ivoire, Kenya Airways, Emirate, and Turkish airlines.
