Wales and Real Madrid winger, Gareth Bale could be allowed to leave Real Madrid for free this summer after the club rejected a mammoth bid for him last summer, according to former Los Blancos president Ramon Calderon. According to Calderon, a bid of £89million was made for the Wales international by an English club but turned down by Real Madrid. Bale made only 20 appearances last season as tensions between him and coach Zinedine Zidane grew. Meghan Markle issuing a picture agency over paparazzi photos of her walking her dogs with her son Archie.  The Duchess of Sussex claims her privacy was breached when the snaps were taken in Vancouver in January and has launched legal action against Splash News.  The High Court in London heard on Thursday afternoon, September 3, that Meghan claims her and her son's privacy was invaded during the incident and that data protection laws were broken when the photos were sold to British newspapers. Barrister Jonathan Barnes, representing Meghan and her son, told the hearing she denies suggestions that she agreed to the pictures being taken or "acquiesced" when she saw Splash photographer Steve Dennett. The Federal Government says the nationwide curfew will now be from 12am to 4am. The curfew was put in place in May as part of measures to contain the spread of Coronavirus in the country.  The Federal Government imposed a nationwide curfew on May 4, 2020, from 6pm to 8am. It later reviewed it from 10pm-4am on June 1. The National Coordinator of the Presidential Taskforce on COVID-19, Dr. Sani Aliyu, announced the adjustment of the curfew time at the briefing of the taskforce which held at the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport, Abuja, today, Thursday, September 3. “I will first of all start with general movement. We are modifying the curfew to commence from 12 midnight to 4am nationwide, effective from 12:00 tonight. The Lagos state government has begun a clampdown on illegal abattoirs in the state. Earlier today September 3, men of the re-inaugurated Monitoring, Enforcement, and Compliance Team dislodged an illegal slaughter slab at Oke Rube, Ikotun, Alimosho Local government in furtherance of the sanitization of the red meat value chain. The monitoring team seized a cow and butchered meat from the illegal slab and also arrested the operators of the illegal slab. A Spanish man tied up his ex-wife with electric cables and forced her to watch him mutilate her new partner's penis with a samurai sword at their holiday home in Portugal. Carlos Sande Fidalgo and his former wife, Nuria Rodriguez Gonzalez, are said to have split in March 2020. However, he couldn't accept the end of the relationship, so he attacked her boyfriend after which he killed himself in a murder-suicide. Carlos Sande Fidalgo ended his life by throwing himself off a nearby bridge after murdering his ex-wife's boyfriend, Luis Miguel Fernandez. Police launched a manhunt when the woman, Nuria Rodriguez Gonzalez, managed to free herself after being made to witness her 53-year-old boyfriend's horrific murder. Police officers in Anambra state have arrested a woman who killed her newborn son by throwing him into a pit toilet. Franca Udokwu, 30, from Obuba Obofia Nkpor Community in Idemili North LGA of Anambra State, was arrested on August 22 by police operatives attached to Ogidi Division following a tip-off.  Upon interrogation, the suspect led police detectives to the pit toilet inside her house where she dumped her baby. The baby was recovered and taken to Iyi- Enu Mission Hospital for medical attention but was confirmed dead on arrival by a medical doctor. According to SP Haruna Mohammed, PPRO Anambra State Police Command, the baby's corpse has been deposited at the hospital mortuary for autopsy and the case is under investigation after which the suspect will be charged to court for.

The foreign publication published an article about Burna Boy with the headline: "Beyoncé-endorsed Burna Boy makes Afrobeat go international." The headline angered a number of Nigerians and they took to Twitter to point out that Burna Boy was big before Beyonce but the headline makes it seem like Beyonce's endorsement is what made the Nigerian singer and his craft go international. One person was burnt to death and three others were injured after a petroleum tanker exploded at a filling station in Irete community along the Owerri-Onitsha Expressway in Owerri-West Local Government Area of Imo state today, August 14. Confirming the incident, the coordinator of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) in Imo state, Evans Ugoh, said after discharging its content at the filling station, the petroleum tanker was about reversing and maneuvering its way out of the premises when it was hit by a J5 commercial bus conveying pineapples on top speed. The bus lost control and rammed into the truck, leading to a heavy explosion. Mr. Ugoh confirmed that one of the occupants of the J5 commercial bus, a female, died on the spot while 3 other persons who sustained fatal injuries have been rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. Loveday Etomi, the fiancé of the woman who was   crushed to death by a tanker in Ajah   only weeks to her wedding, has spoken out following her death. Immaculate Emife Okochu reportedly died at the scene of the accident, her fiancé said. He then narrated how he was in traffic when he got the call that she was involved in an accident and how he parked his car and ran on foot to the scene to find her "cold". Immaculate was a store manager at the Cold Stone Creamery Nigeria in Apapa. She was reportedly rushing to work when she took a bike to escape the Lagos traffic. Unfortunately, a truck rammed into the bike she was on, crushing her on Badore Road in Ajah around 11am on Wednesday, August 12.    Friend says she was first taken to a hospital in the area, and from there, she was referred to the General Hospital, Marina, where she was declared dead.  Mourning her, her fiance expressed his love for her and said no one could ever replace her....

Bola Aseyan, a medical doctor who accused popular Twitter user Dr Olufunmilayo of rape, has insisted that he is guilty and she released "receipts". Dr Olufunmilayo had released a rebuttal after Dr Bola Aseyan accused him of rape. In his statement, he said he had consensual sex with Dr Bola twice after they met on Twitter in 2019.  Narrating how the sex happened, Olufunmilyo said he and Dr Bola met in person after her visa application came through and she moved to the UK. He said they drank red wine and later had sex. Olufunmilayo said Bola later sent him a voice note saying she did not give consent to the sex and demanded an "apology" which Dr Olufunmilayo said felt awkward because "they both took alcohol and sex happened".
