Afenifere leader, Pa Fasanmi dead at 94
Senator Ayo Fasanmi, leader of Yoruba socio-cultural group 'Afenifere' is dead at the age of 94. 

The Afenifere leader died in Osogbo in the late hours of Wednesday, July 29, after a brief illness. The second republic senator's son, Afolabi who confirmed his death wrote in a statement released on Thursday, July 30; 

 “With gratitude to the Almighty God for a life well spent, we wish to announce the demise of our father, Senator Ayo Fasanmi, at the ripe age of 94 years.”

'We miss him a lot' - Pep Guardiola finally addresses Sergio Aguero's contract situation at Manchester City

Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola has come out to address star player, Sergio Aguero's contract situation at the club, with the Argentine striker set to become a free agent next summer. According to Guardiola, the club "misses him a lot" when he's not fit to play but a contract renewal "depends on his physical condition"   Aguero,32,  has spent the last nine years of his career in Manchester scoring 255 goals in 373 appearances for City during that time. EFCC arraigns bank manager for $50,000 fraud in Onitsha (photo)

  The Enugu Zonal office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC Thursday, October  9, arraigned a former manager of the main market branch, Heritage Bank Limited, Fidel Omeje, before Justice D.A Onyefulu of State High Court, Onitsha on one count charge of stealing to the tune of Fifty Thousand United States Dollars ( $50,000) .   The offence according to the charge sheet is contrary to Section 342 of the Criminal Code Law Cap 36,Anambra State and punishable under Section 353 (6) and (9) of the same law.   A statement released by Wilson Uwajeren, the spokesperson of EFCC, alleged that Omeje, used her position as a manager of the bank and account officer of the complainant, to withdraw the said sum from the domiciliary account of the complainant on July 20, 2011 without authorization and converted same to personal use.   The statement added that the defendant pleaded not guilty upon arraignment, prompting the prosecuting counsel, Mike Ani to request...
